Cowgirl Costume
Halloween is two months away so now is a great time to plan your costume sewing! For a little inspiration today, I’m sharing a Cowgirl costume I made earlier this year.
For the shirt, I used the Granville shirt pattern by Sewaholic. It comes in PDF format or in print. You could use any button-up shirt pattern or embellish an existing button-up shirt. I just cut the shirt without the front pockets and then placed tissue paper over the pattern to trace the upper front Read More...
Create This Look – Large Mint Glitter Floral Chiffon
Good Morning! I hope you had an awesome week. This week I was inspired to create a look based on the “Gambol In The Garden Dress” from ModCloth. They have apparently sold out of this dress, so you will just have to make it! 😉
I love the bold vibrant colors in this print. It reminded me of a chiffon we got in not to long ago. It has a large grungy abstract floral print that also has a light Read More...

Since we don’t have any chiffon with navy & white polkadots, I decided to go for a completely different color….PINK! This lightweight polyester chiffon has a really fun medium sized polkadot print overall. The color is a really cute girly pink.
If you wish to line your tunic, I would recommend using our Pink Poly/Cotton. You Read More...

Opera Costumes
A few month’s back I was asked to make two dresses for a local high school opera production. When I got the text of the pattern I’d be using to make the dresses, I was immediately ecstatic. Simplicity 1715 is an Edwardian style dress that reminded me of Downton Abbey. My husband and I had just caught up with the series and I couldn’t wait to re-create one of Lady Mary’s styles.
There is no better place to get your satin, Read More...
