Create This Look – Aqua & Coral Southwestern Stripe Chiffon
This weeks Create This Look was inspired by the “Limelight As A Feather Dress” from ModCloth. I am sad to report that ModCloth no longer carries this dress… so you’ll just have to make it. ;D
I chose three different fabrics to create this adorable dress. The first fabric, for the bodice, is an awesome southwestern stripe chiffon. I really like the colors in this chiffon, they are so bright and fresh.
The second fabric I chose for this skirt, is one of our beautiful 2 tone chiffons. I recently added a ton of these 2 tone chiffons to our online inventory. This chiffon uses 2 different color threads woven together create an iridescent effect.
Now since both of the fabrics are very sheer, the third fabric is for the lining… surprise… surprise! :p I chose our Turquoise Lightweight Polyester, because it matched the Aquamarine 2 Tone Chiffon the best.
The pattern I chose for this look is S4070 by Simplicity. I recommend using view E. This is a great pattern because its a great basic shape, but it gives you lots of options so you make it your own.
I know it can be difficult to match colors online, so here’s I’ve combined a few more options to make it easier.
