Create a superhero look for Comic-con® International: San Diego 2017, with our fabrics
Comic-Con® International 2017 comes to California in July (20-23) and The Fabric Market has a Bat Cave full of fabulous fabrics to help you look like a ‘super’ man and ‘wonder’ woman at the San Diego Convention Center. Not everyone has the creative genius of Tony Stark, so to help inspire you we’ve put together a few ideas below.
Fabrics fit for a Prince…of Asgard!
Look like a demi-God at Comic-Con® with our fabrics. This amazing Thor costume is worn by @king_tide_cosplay and has a fantastic flowing red cape to finish the costume’s striking look. Wool or a Stretch velvet is probably the best fabric to use if you are thinking about creating your own. It will also help you get the desired swoosh effect for when you’re strutting your stuff mightily around the San Diego Conference Center. We also have an Metallic Antique Silver Vinyl that would make awesome armor!
“Let’s put a smile on that face!”
The Joker will be one of the most popular supervillains at Comic-Con®. We love this classic Joker outfit worn by @jokers_jollies. Why not create your own?
Some of our Joker fabrics:
Harley Quinn is a relatively new, but extremely popular character and is sure to be a feature at this year’s Comic-Con® event. The Joker’s lover was a star in the recent Suicide Squad movie and we think @evilcupcake is too in this amazing Harley Quinn costume. Below are some of the fabrics you need to make your own Harley Quinn outfit:
The ultimate girl power!
With the new Wonder Woman movie out in time for Comic-Con® International, the ultimate female superhero is sure to be the costume choice for many at the San Diego Convention Center. There are various Wonder Woman outfits to choose from, including her various incarnations in comics, TV and film. You can create your own just as the wonderful @thecharlired (pictured by @ruffysfotografie) has done. Here some fabrics you could use:
- Metallic Spandex – Red
- Bridal Satin – Red
- Metallic Gold Crinkle Faux Leather
- Metallic Spandex – Royal

Man of Steel!
Superman has been around for several decades in comics, TV series and movies. Over that time his costume has gone through several modifications, many of which will be seen at Comic-Con®. We love @thenew52_superman’s classic costume. We have all the fabrics in red, yellow and blue you need to make your own Superman, Super Girl or Super Boy costume!
