Create This Look – Bridal Satin – Fuchsia
Good Morning! I hope last week was fantastic! This week I was inspired by the “Only A Glamor Of Time Dress” from ModCloth. I can’t get over how adorable this dress is. The next time I have a special event to go to, this will be the dress I make… or buy, depending on how much time I have. ;P
The pattern I chose is S2444 by Simplicity. It is one of the “Inspired by Project Runway” patterns. I recommend adding the 3/4 sleeve option & the sash to the basic dress.
I love the vibrant color of the inspiration look, so I tried to get as close to the color as I could. I chose our Fuchsia Bridal Satin for the skirt and as the lining for the bodice.
I also chose our beautiful fuchsia polyester lace for the bodice overlay & sleeves. Now… I would air on the side of caution when it comes to the sleeves. The polyester lace does not provide stretch so you might want to make a test sleeve before putting the entire dress together. I would even consider leaving the sleeves off entirely, just a thought. ;D
We carry quite a few colors in both the Bridal Satin & Polyester Lace. Here are a couple of options to consider as well.
