Create This Look – Blue & Burgundy Geometric Medallion Cotton
Good Morning Everybody. Sorry about last week!! By the time I realized I didn’t have a post written, it was Saturday about 6:30. ;{ Anyways… enough excuses! I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day! This week I was inspired by the “Sunset Sparklers Dress” from ModCloth. Unfortunately ModCloth no longer carries this dress but we have a ton this fabric, so I decided to share it with you anyway.
As I mentioned above, we have a TON of this particular cotton print. It is 100% cotton & has a really nice bohemian style medallion design, quite similar to the inspiration dress.
The pattern I chose for recreating this look is B6208 by Butterick. I recommend using view C. This is such a cute pattern. It has that easy bohemian style. I was also really drawn to the scooped hemline.
The pattern recommends using lightweight woven fabrics such as: Georgette, Challis, Faille, Linen, & Chambray. The cotton I chose is also a nice weight for this dress, but take a look at these other suitable options:

Chevron Bridal Satin! This is a high quality thick bridal satin that features a large screen-printed chevron pattern & has a semi-matte finish.
Pinterest has done it again! When several customers contacted me wanting to purchase our red chevron bridal satin & they told me what they wanted to do with it, I felt I had to include this collection to our site. They wanted to use this satin to create baseball banquet tables! They told me they saw the idea on Pinterest & heard we carried a large chevron fabric. I was a little confused at first but then they informed me they were using round tables with white table cloths & wanted to use the chevron to make the stitches. You can see from the following picture (found on Pinterest) what an adorable idea this is.
