Create This Look – Blush Sequin Mesh
Hello Everyone! This holiday season has been pretty crazy & I apologize for not posting in almost 2 months! Anyways… enough excuses, I thought we would start off 2017 with a bang! My inspiration for this look is the “Dazzle Be The Day Dress” from ModCloth. This is such a stunning dress, you would definitely stand out at any event, wearing this dress!
The fabric I immediately thought of when I saw this dress, is our beautiful sequin mesh. We carry it in a couple of different colors, but the blush color is closest to the inspiration. For more information on this awesome fabric click the pictures below:
I also chose a charmuse satin for a lining, which compliments the sequins quite well. They may not appear similar on your screen, but in person they are very pretty together. as a side note: since the pattern has more details, it might be nice to use the satin as the accent around the hips & at the top.
I chose a pattern that is very similar to the inspiration look. M7154 by Mccalls is from their Archive Collection. While more detailed than our inspiration dress, it has a very similar shape. I love this pattern because its vintage inspired. Definitely a throw back to the 1930’s.
