Create This Look – Poly Lace – White
Good Morning! This week I felt inspired by the “Nuanced Narrator Dress in Navy” from ModCloth. This dress is so classic. It’s a great style for almost any occasion.
In order to create this look I have chosen three different fabrics. The first is a beautiful floral 100% polyester lace. It features a very pretty delicate floral pattern overall. Most of the time I photograph the fabrics on a white table but since it is so difficult to see white on white, I covered the table with a black fabric to make the pattern pop.
The second fabric is obviously the lining for the bodice. ;P I chose a white poly/cotton.
I chose our royal blue bridal satin for the skirt. They have a beautiful semi-matte finish & have enough body for this skirt.
The pattern I picked is M7090 by Mccalls. I recommend View C. The pattern says it was designed for medium-weight woven fabrics such as: Satin, Taffeta, Shantung, Crepes, etc. You can also use Lace, Chiffon, Georgette, & Tulle for the Overlay, Wrap, & Yoke.
