Create This Look – Floral Eyelet – Ecru
Good Morning! This week I was inspired to share the “On Your Roam Time Tunic In Aviary” from ModCloth.
The fabric I chose for this look is a beautiful printed eyelet I ran across quite a while ago. I loved this fabric from the moment I saw it. It comes in two slightly different shades. One is printed on an Ecru background, the other is pure white. Both of them are so soft & feminine & perfect for this tunic.
This is the White Floral Eyelet.
It seems like this fabric would be thick enough, but it does have tiny holes due to the embroidered eyelet design. Instead of completely lining the top, I would just wearing a tank top or cami underneath. If you do choose to line your tunic I recommend using our Lightweight Poly/Cottons.
The Pattern I chose is M7128 by McCalls. The detail that first drew me to this inspiration look was definitely the pin-tucks on the yolk. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a pattern with this detail. I chose this particular pattern because the yolk is a separate piece, so if you are feeling ambitious you still have the option. ;D
The pattern recommends using lightweight to medium-weight woven fabrics, so here are a few other suitable fabric options for you to check out.
