Create This Look – 2 Tone Chiffon – Plum
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had an amazing Easter! It was crazy last week so, I failed to get a post ready. This week we are getting fancy! I was inspired by the “Stately Slow Dance Dress” from ModCloth. Unfortunately they are sold out of this dress on ModCloth, but it was just to perfect not to share with you.
The fabric I choose for this look is one of our 2 Tone Chiffon’s. This deep purple color looks good on almost anyone so I tried to come as close as I could to the same color. The color I call “Plum,” is very similar to our inspiration look.
I decided to use one of our Charmuse Satin’s as the lining for this look. This Satin is light & flowy, perfect for this look because it won’t weigh the chiffon down. I was going to suggest using our Poly/Cotton, but I realized it would probably be to stiff for this particular look. Luckily we also have a Plum Charmuse that is a perfect match!
The pattern I chose for this look is B5181 by Butterick. I recommend using View B. The pattern recommends using Lightweight Broadcloths & Gauze, but the Satin & Chiffon are similar in weight, so they will work fine.
