Create This Look – Black & Blush Arrow Lightweight Polyester
Welcome one & all! The past couple of weeks here in sunny Bakersfield Ca. has been into the triple digits!!! With the weather never far from my mind, I can say with some certainty, that the heat definitely inspired this weeks look. The “Quiver With Joy Top” from ModCloth is perfect for those hot summer days.
M7155 by Mccalls, is the pattern I chose for this weeks look. It fits closely through the bust and flares out towards the hips. There are several variations but I recommend View A. I really like the strap variation used for this view.
It also looks very short in the illustrations, so here is a picture of what Mccalls thinks it should look like when your done. It would also be pretty simple to add a few inches to the length if you think it would still be to short.
The Fabric I found isn’t quite the same, but its kind of the same idea… right?! ;P Its a lightweight polyester fabric that has small arrows which create a chevron like pattern, especially from a distance. Its also pretty opaque so you shouldn’t have to line it.
We even have a Black & White version!
