Inventory Update – Special Occasion!

Good Morning! I’ve finally finished updating the “Sequin” & “Jumbo Floral” sections of our Special Occasion Fabrics. We have a very large selection of beautiful sparkly, ruffely, & flowey fabrics, perfect for every occasion. I have broken the “Sequin” category down into smaller collections. Get a quick intro to each collection below!

Floral Sequin

We have this beautiful floral sequin mesh that comes in a variety of colors. Each design features multi colored sequins sewn into a large floral pattern over a sheer mesh. This fabric would make beautiful backdrops for weddings or photos. It can also be used for special occasion dresses, table coverings, decorative pillows, & much much more!

Jumbo Floral Mesh

Have you seen these Large 3D floral fabrics? Well if not, they are awesome & you should check them out! It’s a polyester tulle mesh that features large taffeta rosettes sewn on top. Even though the rosettes are quite large & do cover most of the mesh it is still quite sheer, so lining is recommended.

Many people this fabric for photography backdrops & other event decor. I’ve also bought some to make decorative pillows. It would also make adorable flower girl dresses & even duvet covers.

Sequin Chiffon

Check out our selection of Embroidered Sequin Chiffon’s. This chiffon is beautifully embroidered with delicate floral patterns & embellished with sequins. Both selvages are either scalloped or bordered. These fabrics are perfect for window & table coverings, special occasion dresses, decorative pillows, and so much more!

Sequin Knit

Check out our Sequin Knit Collection! This category contains several stretchy knit or spandex like fabrics, with different sequin designs embroidered overall. Most of the sequin fabrics we carry are sequins sewn over a sheer mesh fabric. This collection is unique because the fabric is thicker & most likely won’t need to be lined. These fabrics are great for event decor, home decor, decorative pillows, clothing embellishments (pockets, collars, applique) cardigans, skirts, dresses, tops, just to name a few!

Sequin Lace

Our Sequin Lace Collection features some beautiful delicate lace fabrics that are embroidered with sequins. These fabrics would look beautiful made into dresses, backdrops, event decor, clothing embellishments, etc.

Sequin Mesh

This collection mostly feature one color sequins sewn over mesh. Like many of the categories above these fabrics are great for event decor, decorative pillows, clothing embellishments, dresses, skirts, table coverings, etc. Unlike the other categories above most of the sequins don’t create designs. Some do, but most don’t.

Stiff Mesh

This category is very unique. We received several rolls of this embroidered, stiff mesh from a shoe & bag manufacture that went out of business. Most of this fabric almost feels like screen…. It just occurs to me that this would be awesome to make pet carriers! Someone please do this & share the pics!!

Stretch Sequin

This is a fun collection! Growing up, I did a lot of theatre & my mom made all of my costumes. I remember she made several costume mermaid tales for me out of this stuff. I also recall how much she hated sewing it! Instead of the sequins being sewn on, like our other sequin fabrics, the sequins are glued on. This makes it difficult to sew, because it gums up the needle. After I stopped doing theatre & learned to sew myself, we were told, by a friend that the trick to sewing this fabric is to use olive oil on the needle as you sew… Genius!!!! I wish we had heard that sewing hack sooner!

Wild Sequin

All of the fabrics in this collection have animal skin patterns made or printed on sequins & most are scalloped on both selvages. You could have a lot of fun with these fabrics, creating things like dresses, skirts, tops, table coverings, event decor, decorative pillows, among other things!

I encourage all of you to think outside the box when thinking about what to create with these fabrics. I mean, sure you could make dresses, decorative pillows, table coverings, etc. but what about wall coverings, bags, multi-media art projects, the possibilities are endless if you use your imagination!

Well that’s all for this update! I hope you’ve been inspired to create some awesome things with our Special Occasion Sequin Fabrics! Stay tuned for our next round of updates! Also we would love to see what you’re making with our fabrics! Please post pics of your creations here on our Blog, on Facebook, & follow us on Pinterest! Have an Awesome Week!
