Fabric Spotlight: CORK

Fabric Spotlight: CORK

I recently posted about our latest Cork addition & price reduction on Facebook a couple of weeks ago but just in case you missed it… We’ve drastically reduced our Cork Fabric from $18.99 a yard to $11.99 a yard online & $10.99 in-store!!!!!!!! That’s right, you read that correctly! Our entire Cork inventory is Deadstock, so get some while you still can!

I have noticed that Cork Fabric has become somewhat of a fad in a wide variety of crafts. We have a wonderful Cork selection. Get your creative juices flowing with all of the collages that follow. Some of the ideas you see below have tutorials or even patterns, so follow our Crafting with Cork Pinterest Board.

If you’re not familiar with this very unique type of fabric… It is Wonderful! The best way to describe it is to compare it to a very lightweight vinyl. It’s quite pliable & surprisingly easy to work & sew with. It is not entirely cork as one might think. It is actually a very thin layer of cork that is bonded to a thicker poly/cotton backing. We have a variety printed Corks, but they do sell solid versions elsewhere.

While researching images for this post, I ran across this awesome blog post on Corker.com, which has a lot of really great information about Cork Fabric. You can also purchase some of their very lovely Cork products, but I’m sharing it with you because of the great Cork info.

Jaime from MadeByJaime.com has actually covered Cork fabric for us a couple of times, but I felt it was time for a little refresher. Check out both of her Cork posts… Here… & Here.

We love Cork Fabric & we hope you do too! Show us how much by sharing your Cork creations & inspiration with us, here on our Blog, Pinterest, or Facebook.

We strongly recommend reading through our FAQ Page to learn more about our policies &  other disclaimers, important to know when purchasing fabrics & trim from us. If you require content verification please consider requesting swatches & testing them yourself before committing to purchasing yardage (Swatch Policy also found on FAQ Page.)

I hope you enjoy our latest post & don’t forget to tell all your friends about The Fabric Market
