Flannel for All
If you’re anything like me, you tend to wait until the last minute to make holiday gifts and winter clothing. If you are, consider this a little nudge to get thinking about some handmade gifts!
Last week we added several flannel prints to the site! Flannel is lightweight and cozy, making it perfect for clothing, pjs, quilts and crafts! I was recently given the opportunity to make this Hooded Jacket pattern by Whimsy Couture and since my little girl has taken a liking to Julius Jr/Paul Frank, we chose this flannel print.
We chose a red fleece to line it with so it’s super cozy. It was a quick sew so if you want to make something for someone little, this would make a great little gift!
Flannel’s also great for the obvious – pajamas!
This pattern is the Ruffled PJs Pattern by Once Upon A Sewing Machine, but check out the list below for FREE patterns for kids and adults!
- Kids PJ Pants, size 12mos – 8 yrs
- Foxy Pajama, kids sizes 12 mos – 8 yrs
- Adult PJ Pants from Simplicity
Flannel is great for quilts too, like this super simple FREE pattern, the Raggedy Strip Rag Quilt!
And use your scraps from any project to make this Reusable Duster Cloth!
There are tons of patterns on Craftsy.com, free and paid, that can be used with Flannel, so grab your supplies from TheFabricMarket.com, then click here to check them out!
