Perfect Boys Shorts
Last week I shared a great shorts pattern for girls and women. Today I’m back to share a boys shorts pattern that is comfy, stylish and incredibly quick to sew!
These are the Coastal Craze Baggies by Peek A Boo Pattern Shop. The pattern includes sizing from 3 months to 12 years and can be made with woven or knit! We wandered the aisles of the brick & morter version of TheFabricMarket.com and found this great dark green bottom-weight with a little bit of stretch in it. Denim would be a great choice too and thefabricmarket.com has a great selection of both prints and solids.
The waistband and pocket contrast are suitable for rib knits, french terry or interlock. There’s a faux fly for style but they are entirely slip on and off with a comfy and convenient elastic waistband. There are slash pockets on the front.
And an optional pocket for the back. Other pattern options include elastic waistband, faux or functional drawstring and optional cuffs at hemline. Perfect for girls too just by changing the fabrics and maybe the length (although it’s nice to have longer shorts for girls sometimes too!). TheFabricMarket.com has plenty of bottom-weight fabrics for your summer shorts. Let us know what you’re creating on our Facebook page!
