The Brooklynn Twirl Top – Knits & Wovens
Last week I was given the opportunity to test a new pattern by Little 4 Awhile, The Brooklynn Twirl Top.
The patterns from Little 4 Awhile are intended to be used for upcycling existing t-shirts into adorable ruffled shirts & dresses. I had picked up this Paul Frank/Julius Jr. knit a few weeks back and thought it was my best bet at getting my non-frilly girl interested in this top.
The Brooklynn Twirl Top pattern includes a bodice piece with instructions for cutting strips for the straps & various tiers of ruffles. I used fabrics I already had on hand, but The Fabric Market has a great selection of florals, Chevron and Polkadot cottons that would be perfect for this look.
Since the bodice is knit there is no closure in this pattern – just slip it over the head for comfy cuteness. Perfect easy style for your little one this summer. The Brooklynn Twirl top comes in sizes 6/12 mos to size 12. Dont’ forget, we want to see your creations too! If you make something with fabric from The Fabric Market, be sure to share on our Facebook page!
